After the renovation

Location : Avenida del Libertador, Recoleta, Buenos Aires

The one thing favouring this spacious 120 square metre 4 bedroom apartment before the renovation we performed, was a stunning view of Parque Thays opposite. Although the apartment had high ceilings, it had been divided into many small, dark spaces and at the rear of the apartment, almost no light entered at all, due to high walls of surrounding buildings.

In order to maximise the view and the dimensions, we removed walls, redesigned the spaces completely, relocating the kitchen from one side of the apartment to the other, and created an enormous integrated space for entertaining on a grand scale. Remodelling totally the bedrooms, we created two large bedrooms each with it own private en-suite bathroom, as well as a third guest bathroom.

Importantly, to introduce natural light to the rear of the apartment, we created a zen-like garden where previously nothing but a dim air well had existed, bringing much needed light and a sense of calm and tranquility to the whole apartment.

We laid new floors using polished cement and granite, with porcelain tiles in all bathrooms.

This apartment was sold to an oil company executive.
